- First, you need to be a member of the blog.
- Second you need to be a member of the Hamete Go Group website
For both of those, email jrhoak [.a.t.] gmail [c.o.m.] . Once done with that, here's how to post:
- Upload your file to the Hamete Go Group website by signing in and going to the SGF files tab.
- Click on (Add File) to add your SGF file and then move it a new folder (if you're new)
- Then log out of the website and sign into the blog. To display the SGF file, paste the following while in the Edit HTML tab (replacing the bolded text with the name of your file:
<embed flashvars="url=/home/sgf-files/Arnaldo-Kashomon090610.sgf" height="600" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://sites.google.com/site/hametegroup/goswf.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="440"></embed>
- If you want to start the board off at a particular move number, add &move=### at the end of the file name:
<embed flashvars="url=/home/sgf-files/Arnaldo-Kashomon090610.sgf&move=20" height="600" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://sites.google.com/site/hametegroup/goswf.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="440"></embed>
- Important notes!
- Remember to sign out of the Hamete Go Group website. For some reason, the SGF file won't load for you while you are also logged in to the website, although it won't affect anyone else's ability. Nor, it seems, will it affect the ability of other browsers to display the SGF file.
- Although the GoSWF viewer has the ability to edit Go files, the changes will not stick around, so you need to need to either export your changes made with GoSWF and upload them to the website, or you need to do your editing offline with some other client -- like CGoban (the KGS client), Goban, or one of many other clients.
